I just returned from a two day conference on Witchcraft Branding, Spirit Possession and Safeguarding African Children; organised in London by a UK based charity, Africans United Against Child Abused (AFRUCA).

He should be man enough to declare to the world that he is married and cheating and that he doesn’t have what it takes to be faithful to his vows.

Well, I don’t know if I should say this considering the fact that the war of the sexes seem to be in need of a truce of sorts and I certainly do not want to add to the spate of violence in the country; but I seem to see more and more married men not wearing their wedding rings.

Ibrahim Ganye and Adama Mamuda allegedly cast a spell on their victim since 2007

A man and a woman, were yesterday sentenced to 2 years imprisonment over an alleged bewitching of a woman by the Chief Magistrate’s Court in Warji Local Government Area of Bauchi State.

Ibrahim Shehu Ganye, a 43 year-old man and Adama Mamuda, a 45 year-old woman, were both accused of casting a witchcraft spell on one Hansatu Sani four years contrary to Section 216 of the Penal Code.

Controversial Nollywood popular actress Mercy Johnson, known for her good delivery of scripts and tear filled roles has indeed given her critics the buzzer.

She recently announced her wedding news. She said: "Yes, I am getting married, officially, from the horse’s mouth on the 27th of August 2011. It’s a 4-day event, the court wedding on the 25th, the traditional on the 26th, the white wedding on the 27th, and the Thanksgiving on the 28th". Mercy's prince charming(yes! a real prince) is Prince Odianose Okojie, from Esanland (Uromi). On how she met her fiancé-Odi; she says they met at the hair salon she regularly visits; he came to wait for her at the salon he was intimated that she usually goes to.

Prices of broom dramatically shot up in Madagali Local Government Council of Adamawa State, following the Action Congress of Nigeria (ACN) governorship campaign rally in the area.

Prices of broom dramaticallyshot up in Madagali Local Government Council of Adamawa State, following the Action Congress of Nigeria (ACN) governorship campaign rally in the area.

The price of brooms, which is the symbol of the party, shot up by about 100 per cent in the area because of the rally held yesterday. Abunch of broom in the area cost N50, as against its previous price of N25.
