Ibadan: Anxious Supporters Await Arrival Of Tinubu, APC Campaign Team

Reports from Ibadan, the capital of Oyo State, reveal that the Mapo Hall, the venue of the All Progressives Congress (APC) presidential campaign rally in the city, is already full of life as anxious supporters await the arrival of the APC campaign team.

Naija News gathered that party chieftains, members and supporters have started trooping to the venue to await the arrival of the party’s presidential candidate, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu and his campaign team.

Reports are that despite the outbreak of protests that disrupted public peace in the Oyo capital yesterday, people have, against all odds, come out to show support and solidarity with the APC.

Thursday’s Rally Remains Sacrosanct – Oyo APC Maintains

This platform reported yesterday that following the postponement of the APC presidential campaign rally in Ibadan last week, the state APC has said the new schedule of the event which is today remains unchanged.

Naija News gathered that the Director-General of the APC Presidential Campaign Committee in the state, Isiaka Kolawole has confirmed that nothing is shifting the campaign rally slated for Thursday (today) 16 February.

According to him, all is set for the event and the scheduled presidential rally of the APC in Ibadan remains sacrosanct.

Kolawole told pressmen on Wednesday at the party’s campaign office, Mokola in Ibadan that the rally would go ahead as planned and whoever tried to disrupt the rally would be resisted.

Recalls that the rally which was initially scheduled to hold last Tuesday was rescheduled for Thursday ( today) as a result of the protest.

Expected on the campaign team is the national chairman of the APC, Abdullahi Adamu and other members of the National Executive Committee, serving and former governors in the Southwest region.
