Police seize military uniforms in Kano
The police in Kano last night seized a large consignment of uniforms from people suspected to be Boko Haram members
The Nigeria Police in Kano on Sunday night impounded a large consignment of military uniforms shipped into the country through the Nigeria/Niger Republic border in Katsina State. The military uniforms were seized from a warehouse, close to the Kano Pillars Stadium in the Sabon Gari area of Kano State and it is believed to have been smuggled into the country.
Some terrorists operating under the emblem of the radical Islamic terrorist group, Boko Haram are suspected to have received training and support accross the borders. Police Commissioner in Kano State, Mr. Ibrahim Idris, who confirmed the seizure in a chat with our correspondent, pointed out that the Criminal Investigation Department (CID) has opened investigations into the matter.
The police also confirmed the arrest of some suspects in connection with the uniforms, pointing out that they are being interrogated by the police. Idris further said that the suspects presented documents indicating that the consignments were authorized by the Ministry of Defence.
“So we are trying to establish the authenticity and authorship of the document purported to have come from the Ministry of defence.
“Right now, we cannot say much about this incident until we have carried out the investigations,” the police Commissioner stated.
Recall that recently the Kano/Jigawa command of Nigerian Customs Services also impounded large quantities of military uniforms, comprising of Air Force uniforms and army camouflage. The suspects Magaji Mohammed and Mohammed Auwal were apprehended by Customs agents at the Malam Aminu Kano International airport (MAKIA).
The Customs Area Comptroller, Kano/Jigawa Command, Sanusi Umar has since transferred the impounded uniforms and the suspects to the state Police Command.

We northerners muslim donot know who are Boko Haram sects. We were victim also. If Boko Haram kill 5 Christians in the Nort, they also kill 200 muslim before hand.
We believed there are Christians who also plant Bombs in the name of Boko Haram.
Just on Satuday an Igbo man was cought at Sabon Gari kano state dressed like Hausa man trying to Bomb a Coach Bus used to carry persengers to Enugu.
Thank God! its some Igbo brothers that cought him. I went to see him by myself. He was handovered to Kano State Command Now.
So, if you look at it, you find that Boko Haram as Mrs, presidend says , its some goverment officials collected Money from U.S to attend their prediction.

Hello Mr. Bashir, We the Igbos are not fools. We know what is going on. If for real what you said is true and he infact is also Igbo, then believe me, He is a muslim. The Jihad is not a tribal war but a war on faith.
It is painful to note that in the twenty first century Nigeria that Bashir Adam Aliyu will hold such naive view. Perhaps, he will also allege that, the woman who lost her husband and five children in the Xmas day massacre in the church planted the bomb. Southerners do not need to dress like boko haram to engage in such act. We are aware to top military officers co-ordinating this dastardly act with the encouragement of their money men. But this will not be responded to as the 1966 Igbo massacre, the north should be VERY weary of the reprisals to follow. It is high time this one sided marry end.
